Elementary Curriculum, PreK – 5

 

1.         Our curriculum is purchased primarily from Christian publishing companies. Other texts are being used in specific areas. 

2.         Computer, Music, and P.E. and Spanish are additional subjects taught from K through 5th.  Pre-K classes may have music, art, and P.E. with their teachers.

3.         Chapel services are a regular part of the curriculum.

4.         Each day includes a Bible lesson and Pledges to the American and Christian flags and to the Bible.

 

 

Grading Scale

 

The purpose of the grading system is to give parents and students an indication of progress or lack of progress made by the student.    

The following grading scale is used for all students in grades 1 – 5.

                                    A                     93 – 100          4.0

 

                                    B                      85 – 92            3.0

 

                                    C                     77 – 84            2.0

 

                                    D                     70 – 76            1.0

 

                                    F                      Below – 69      0

 

Grades are reported to parents at the end of each nine weeks.

  

 

Elementary Disciplinary Procedure

 

            Step 1: Verbal correction and warning

 

            Step 2:Verbal correction and loss of recess time or P.E. that may include

                       written work

                       

            Step 3: Discipline note sent home

 

Step 4: Student sent to principal’s office for conference.  Parent will be informed of misconduct.

 

            Step 5: Parent will be called by principal on second trip to    

                        office.
